Event narrative
Time is unknown. Four skiers were caught in an avalanche near Big Cottonwood Canyon. One of the skiers had shoulder and upper leg pain and was not able to ski out. The other skiers called for help, and the injured skier was lifted out. The others skied out after medics recovered the injured skier.
