A CoCoRaHS reporter in Truckee reported 18.1 inches from February 18th into February 21st. A second CoCoRaHS reporter in South Lake Tahoe reported 13.0 inches from February 18th into February 21st. The National Operational Hydrologic Remote Sensing Center estimated 6 to over 48 inches over 72 hours. There was 30.7 inches of snow reported by the Central Sierra Snow Lab over 72 hours, station elevation 6894 ft. Ski Resorts reported 10 to 42 inches over 72 hours.

Wider weather episode

A winter storm mid-February brought several days of continued heavy snow, rain, and gusty winds. Periods of chain controls were observed in the mountains with local reports of flooding and minor wind damage.
