A trained spotter 2 miles southeast of Mosier reported 5 inches of new snow at 1000 PST on Feb. 15th.

Wider weather episode

A cold northwest flow aloft in combination with a low pressure system undercutting an offshore ridge resulted in several bands of heavy snow developing across the inland Pacific Northwest from central Oregon to the Kittitas valley in Washington between Feb. 14th and the morning of the 16th.
