Conneaut Breakwater Light Mesonet Station recorded a peak convective wind gust of 40 mph from approaching and outflow-dominant thunderstorms.

Lake Erie, northern OH, and northwest PA resided in a warm and very humid air mass during the late morning through early evening of the 6th as a cold front approached slowly from the western Great Lakes. A line of multicell thunderstorms persisted eastward along a pre-front surface trough axis and generated gale-force peak wind gusts along the northeast OH and northwest PA shore as the storms encountered moderate MUCAPE, DCAPE, and effective bulk shear, respectively.
