National Gridded Snowfall Analysis and observations indicated storm totals of 8 to 16 inches at elevations above 3500 feet, with the highest amounts on south facing slopes. Precipitation amounts in the zone ranged from 1.91 inches at Snowman to 2.97 inches at Mt. Shasta City.

An occluding front moving northeast to the northern California coast then across western Siskiyou County brought heavy snow to northern California with advisory strength southerly winds.
