A disturbance passing through the region enhanced WNW flow lake effect snow during the evening of February 16th. Snow to liquid ratios were approximately 20-to-1 with a glancing blow of arctic air. A more focused area of snow developed and persisted over northern Grand Traverse county during the evening into the early overnight hours.
