Due to earlier clouds and rain, low-level instability was muted during the evening of March 14th. However, an approaching cold front was able to tap into elevated instability and work with sufficient shear to create another round of strong thunderstorms. While a damaging wind threat was negated by the stable low levels, several reports of large hail were received in eastern Ohio.
