Two sites in Kit Carson county gusted over 58 mph for a total duration of 1.5 hours. KCOFLAGL13 (mesosite near Flagler) recorded the maximum wind speed in the county of 60 MPH.

Wider weather episode

A low pressure system entered eastern Colorado on the 6th and quickly moved east. There was a steep pressure rise as the low was leaving the area through the 7th. These sharp changes in pressure caused winds to gust up to 69 MPH near Yuma.
