The DOT RWIS Station at 36 mile Haines Highway measured below freezing temperatures for a period of nearly 7 hours with a minimum of 28 degrees. The nearby COOP at Haines Customs also recorded a minimum temperature of 28 degrees that morning. Further down the road at the 25 mile RWIS, the lowest temperature was 31 degrees and was below freezing for just 3 and a half hours.
