Extreme(D3) drought conditions remained in place for the entire month of March.

Wider weather episode

Above normal precipitation for areas of Grant and Sierra counties improved drought conditions there. Little to no precipitation further south kept Severe(D2) to Extreme(D3) drought going through the month.
