Event narrative

Extreme(D3) drought continued over the southeast portion of the zone but improved to Moderate(D1) drought over the north. The Mountain Park Cooperative Observer reported 0.20 inches of precipitation which was 0.68 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Above normal precipitation for areas of Grant and Sierra counties improved drought conditions there. Little to no precipitation further south kept Severe(D2) to Extreme(D3) drought going through the month.
