A spotter reported 6 inches of new snow at the Waterfall Lodge about 4 miles southeast of Cloudcroft.
The wider storm
A broad positively tilted trough extended from the eastern Dakotas through the Four Corners region. A back door cold front pushed into central New Mexico with the easterly winds providing for good upslope flow on the eastern side of the Sacramento Mountains where up to 9 inches of snow fell.
