Event narrative

Two big rigs were blown over on Highway 395 near and 5 miles N of Cartago, and a sign was blown onto the highway near Olancha.

Wider weather episode

Deep low pressure moving through the Pacific Northwest brought heavy snow and multiple rounds of high wind to the eastern Sierra slopes. High wind also affected the Owens Valley and portions of the Mojave Desert.
