A wind gust of 50 mph was recorded over the Laguna Madre east of Arroyo City at the Realitos Pensinsula Texas Coastal Ocean Observation Network site.
Wider weather episode
Strong to severe thunderstorms moved along and off the Cameron County coast following initial discrete cell development farther inland, during the early evening of May 13th.
These storms produced a few strong wind reports over the Gulf Waters along the Lower Texas Coast.
