Social media photos were received of quarter-size hail on the north side of Haleyville.
Wider weather episode
A surface low across Tennessee during the afternoon and evening of May 14 fostered a broken line of thunderstorms across northwest Central Alabama. Although largely below severe limits, one cell within the line briefly intensified and produced quarter-size hail near Haleyville.
