Rainfall in the middle and later portion of March helped to improve hydrologic conditions across Adams county by the end of the month with severe drought ending in the county.

Wider weather episode

Precipitation returned to much of Iowa during the month of March with normal to above normal rainfall. This helped to alleviate drought conditions over much of western and central Iowa.
