Drought in Glorieta Mesa Including Glorieta Pass, New Mexico

Drought April 1, 2024 – April 30, 2024 · Glorieta Mesa Including Glorieta Pass, New Mexico

What the National Weather Service wrote

Severe drought remained across all of the zone.

The wider storm

April 2024 saw below normal precipitation on the whole across northern and central NM while average temperatures were still within a few degrees of normal. This aided in limiting the drying out and degradation of drought conditions. Most of the state ended up seeing no change in drought conditions with limited improvements over small portions of northern and central NM most likely due to a healthy Spring snow melting event.
