Heavy Snow — Wyoming Black Hills, Wyoming

2024-05-06 to 2024-05-08 · Wyoming Black Hills, Wyoming

Wider weather episode

A strong spring storm system brought heavy rain and gusty winds to much of northeast Wyoming. Across the higher elevations of northeast Wyoming, mainly above 5000 feet, temperatures were cold enough for some snow to accumulate. The highest snowfall amounts were generally between O'Neill Pass and the Four Corners area in the Black Hills and across the Bear Lodge Mountains, where 6 inches to over a foot of accumulation were reported in some areas. Some power outages were reported due to the heavy, wet snow and gusty winds.
