A Cocorahs observer 2.1 miles east southeast of Bend measured 4.1 inches of new snow in a 24 hour period ending at 0600 PST on Mar. 5th. A Cocorahs observer 6.3 miles north of Bend measured 4.5 inches of new snow in a 24 hour period ending at 0800 PST on Mar. 5th.

Wider weather episode

A stationary front and an upper trough passage resulted in heavy snow showers moving through central Oregon, especially impacting the Bend area and outskirts of Redmond.
