The wind sensor along I-40 at The Little Colorado River measured a peak wind gust of 59 MPH at 413 PM. There was also a 58 MPH wind gust at 523 PM. The peak wind gust at the Winslow Airport was 71 MPH at 516 PM. The wind gusts were 58 MPH or higher between 320 PM and 540 PM. Sustained winds were above 40 MPH between 300 PM and 740 PM.
