Event narrative
Snow started falling late on March 23 and ended late March 24. Ten and a half inches of snow fell at the NWS office in Bellemont. Mormon Lake received 9 inches and Snowbowl received at least 13 inches.
Wider weather episode
A winter storm system brought wind, low elevation rain, and high elevation snow to much of northern Arizona. The greatest amounts of snow fell across the Mogollon Rim. Close to 20 reporting stations had wind gust between 40 and 55 MPH.
