Event narrative
Thunderstorm wind gusts, estimated at 70 MPH, flipped a set of metal bleachers at the high school football field in Eustis. These bleachers were 30 feet wide and 15 feet tall. Tree limbs up to a foot in diameter were also reported down in Eustis.
Wider weather episode
Severe thunderstorms developed along a stationary front, situated from southwestern into central and northeastern Nebraska during the mid evening hours of May 20th. These storms eventually became severe and persisted into the overnight hours. Hail up to golf ball size was reported along with wind damage in Lincoln, Frontier and Custer counties.
