Two distinct rounds of deep, convective organization passed through the Florida Keys as a large upper-level low pressure system slowly evolved over the northern Gulf of Mexico. Scattered to numerous gale-force wind gusts were recorded by coastal weather instrumentation due to thunderstorm outflow.
