Volunteer observers reported 2 to 4 of snow accumulation in Houston County with a maximum of 8.0 in Caledonia.

A multiple day precipitation event from April 1st through April 3rd provided heavy snowfall in parts of southeast Minnesota. Above freezing temperatures resulted in initial rainfall across southeast Minnesota until colder air moved from northwest to southeast late on April 1st, providing a mix of sleet, rain, and freezing rain. These near freezing temperatures persisted into April 3rd in select spots providing the highly variable snowfall accumulations. Storm total accumulations varied from a minimum of 0.3 near Austin (Mower County) to a maximum of 8.0 of Caledonia (Houston County) through April 3rd.
