A trained spotter reported baseball size hail north of Lake Phantom Hill on Farm to Market Road 600.

The combination of a strong upper level disturbance, a dryline moving east and strong instability resulted in scattered severe thunderstorms across portions of the Big Country and northern Concho Valley. The severe storms produced very large hail and damaging winds.
