Wind gust was measured on a personal weather station via WeatherFlow. Station was located in the Neuse River.

Wider weather episode

A potent system brought scattered strong to severe thunderstorms to the waters south of the Croatan and Roanoke Sounds and across the coastal waters south of Oregon Inlet on the evening of April 12th. Thunderstorms started out across the Piedmont of North Carolina and quickly raced eastward as a line before entering the offshore waters of Eastern North Carolina Friday evening bringing damaging wind gusts with them.
