Wind gust was reported on the Croatan Sound XCTNr WeatherFlow station as thunderstorms were moving through.

Wider weather episode

On the evening of Thursday June 6th a cold front tracked east across the Coastal Plain before eventually pushing offshore by early Friday morning. Isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms initially developed along the Coastal Plain Thursday evening before increasing in coverage overnight. A few of these storms became strong to severe in nature, bringing strong winds to the inland and coastal waters of Eastern North Carolina.
