Power outages were reported due to fallen trees near the town of Osborne.

A surface cold front draped across southwest Virginia, eastern Tennessee, and northern Alabama and Mississippi led to the development of scattered showers and storms across the southern Piedmont, Sandhills, and Coastal Plain of central North Carolina during the afternoon and evening hours. Several of the storms produced damaging winds and ping pong ball size hail.
