The public reported quarter inch hail near the town of Enfield.

Isolated to scattered showers and storms ahead of a surface cold front draped over the Tennessee Valley developed early in the morning over the eastern Piedmont, Sandhills, and Coastal Plain. Additional scattered storms developed over the northeast Piedmont and northern Coastal Plain in the afternoon hours. Several reports of wind damage were noted with the thunderstorms.
