A tree was blown down onto powerlines along south Main St. near Stevens Ave in Broadway.

Wider weather episode

A thunderstorm complex over the Middle Mississippi Valley in the morning tracked into the lower Ohio Valley and eastern Tennessee during the early afternoon. As this thunderstorm complex crossed the North Carolina mountains, a bowing segment developed and tracked from the western Piedmont into the Triangle, Sandhills and Coastal Plain. This bowing line produced several reports of straight line wind damage, especially across Randolph County.
