A large tree uprooted and fell on a house along SW 19th St in Gainesville, FL. The tree caused unknown damage to the house but appears to be roof damage. Photo was taken by Nancy Heiser. Time was determined by nearby observation station 2025W Fswn Sweetwater Wetlands Park which measured a gust of 43 MPH at 1310Z.
Wider weather episode
Several rounds of strong to severe storms impacted NE FL and SE GA ahead of a cold frontal passage. The 1st wave arrived during the morning hours, and the second one with the cold front in the afternoon. Damaging winds of 55-75 with the morning Training of storms produced localized flooding rainfall across inland SE GA and the Suwannee River Valley.
