Multiple roofs of farm outbuildings were removed in Ewing. The NWS damage survey concluded straight-line winds were responsible for this damage.
Wider weather episode
Severe thunderstorms developed in the afternoon of June 13th ahead of an approaching cold front. Supercells initially produced large hail in northeast Missouri before transitioning into mostly a wind threat as they neared the Mississippi River. Further south, semi-discrete convection produced damaging winds in Boone County later that evening.
