Event narrative
The Adams County emergency manager reported farm structures down, power poles snapped, wires down, and trees snapped and uprooted near Highway 96 and Highway 24 north of Quincy. There were also multiple large trees down and some roof damage to farm outbuildings near 24th Street and Boy Scout Road.
Wider weather episode
Severe thunderstorms developed in the afternoon of June 13th ahead of an approaching cold front. Supercells initially produced large hail in northeast Missouri before transitioning into mostly a wind threat as they crossed the Mississippi River into Adams and Brown Counties.
