Event narrative

Trees were blown down across southern parts of the parish including several blown down along US Highway 65 between Alsatia and Sondheimer. There was also minor wind damage to the roofs of a few homes.

Wider weather episode

As a low pressure system moved across the country, strong to severe thunderstorms developed and moved across portions of northeast Louisiana. These storms produced damaging wind gusts, hail, and flooding rainfall.
