The mesonet located at 3 SE Dumas measured multiple wind gusts between 58 and 60 mph during this time period.

Strong northerly winds in the 20 to 30 mph range occurred across the combined Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles on the morning of April 18th, with higher wind gusts occurring behind a frontal passage. At least one wind gust up to 58 mph was measured in the Oklahoma Panhandle with the initial passage of the cold front and another 60mph wind gust occurred near Dumas.
