A singular severe thunderstorm occurred over south central Nebraska during the afternoon hours of May 19th. The initial thunderstorm cluster developed over Furnas County shortly after midday, but severe hail did not occur until it moved eastward to Franklin County between 2-3pm CDT. The small storm cluster remained strong through around 4PM into Webster County, but no additional hail was reported. Activity weakened substantially by 5PM as it shifted east of the Hwy 281 corridor.
