A developing surface low pressure over southeast Colorado with a dryline extending south of this feature was the focus of afternoon thunderstorm development. Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms developed along and east of the dryline across the Permian Basin and Lower Trans Pecos producing large hail, damaging winds, and several landspout tornadoes.
