A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph knocked down multiple power poles onto and along US Route 11 west of Danville.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms rolled across Central Pennsylvania during the early to mid morning hours of May 23, 2024, producing sporadic wind damage. Then, that evening, an isolated thunderstorm formed over southern York County as a cold front slipped southward across the area.
