A thunderstorm produced quarter size hail near the intersection of Hwy 97 and Hwy 181 in Floresville.
Wider weather episode
There were two rounds of severe thunderstorms on the 28th. The first in the morning along a cold front as it moved into a warm, moist airmass with storms producing a tornado and damaging wind gusts. The second later in the day as the airmass recovered and a dryline moved in. These storms produced large hail.
