Event narrative

The fire began in Needles, CA at 1215 PST/1315 MST, burning one structure, and jumped the Colorado River into Mohave Valley at 1340 PST/1440 MST. The fire was stopped at a total of 203 acres (60 acres in CA and 143 in AZ) at 1530 PST/1630 MST. There was no structural damage reported on the AZ side.

Wider weather episode

The Needles Fire started in the 900 block of Bush Street and moved north, jumping the Colorado River into Mohave Valley. The fire eventually burned 203 acres - 60 in CA and 143 in AZ - and destroyed one structure in CA.
