What the National Weather Service wrote

A thunderstorm wind gust of 55 mph/48 knots was measured at the SFWMD Lake Okeechobee North End sensor.

The wider storm

As a surface frontal boundary pushed southward through the southeastern United States, winds began to veer southwest bringing moist, warm air into South Florida on June 7th. With this moist air, sea breeze formation enabled stronger storms to bring gusty winds across Lake Okeechobee.

Began near Buckhead Ridge (27.1400, -80.7900).
