Event narrative

A strong outflow boundary from a thunderstorm damaged several power lines around the Boise metropolitan area and Garden Valley. Around 2,000-3,000 people were estimated to be without power in both of those regions due to wind damage.

Several strong thunderstorms from a fast moving cold front brought heavy rain and strong winds to the Treasure Valley and Boise Mountains.
