Hot temperatures 8 to 12 degrees above normal were experienced in the Upper San Pedro River Valley, causing the Major Heat Risk category to be reached. Benson topped out at as high as 108 degrees on June 12.

Hot temperatures 3 to 6 degrees above normal were experienced across much of southeast Arizona June 10-13. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for two individuals, one in Cochise County and another in Tucson. Additionally, the Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was a contributing factor in the cause of death for another individual.
