Hot temperatures 8 to 12 degrees above normal were experienced in southeast Pinal County, causing the Major Heat Risk category to be reached. Mammoth topped out at as high as 110 degrees on June 12.

Wider weather episode

Hot temperatures 3 to 6 degrees above normal were experienced across much of southeast Arizona June 10-13. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for two individuals, one in Cochise County and another in Tucson. Additionally, the Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was a contributing factor in the cause of death for another individual.
