The eastern half of the zone was in Extreme(D3) drought while the northwest continued to be in Severe(D2) drought. The Antelope Wells Cooperative Observer received no precipitation which was 0.24 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Little rain fell in May, but during a typically dry month, no changes were made to the drought categories across the region.
