Event narrative

The southern half of the zone remained in Extreme(D3) drought which improved as you moved to the north where it remained in Moderate(D1) drought. The Mountain Park Cooperative Observer reported 0.10 inches of precipitation which was 0.74 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Little rain fell in May, but during a typically dry month, no changes were made to the drought categories across the region.
