This tornado was viewed by storm spotters and captured on video footage. However, it did not produce damage and was generally in an open field.

Wider weather episode

Various discrete and scattered thunderstorms impacted portions the combined Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles each evening and overnight on the 21st through the 23rd. Several of these storms produced large hail over and inch in diameter with some as large as 2.75. Severe wind gusts were also hazard with a gust upwards of 66 mph measured by ground equipment. A supercell even dropped a tornado in Hemphill County.
