Mesonet station on Bay Street in Sag Harbor measured a 35 knot wind gust.

The wider storm

Isolated thunderstorms formed along and head of an approaching pre-frontal trough and cold front in the early morning hours, some were severe and produced damaging winds and large hail. Behind these storms, an MCV moved through and produced more damaging winds and large hail.
