Trees were downed at Natural Bridge State Park near the Campground and Hoedown Island.

Afternoon and evening storms impacted eastern Kentucky on May 7, 2024. A couple of these storms resulted in severe thunderstorm warnings, though no reports of damage were found. However, one storm that moved over Natural Bridge State Park did put down some isolated high wind gusts, resulting in multiples trees being downed between the Campground and Hoedown Island. Thankfully no one was injured during this incident.
