Event narrative

Three large trees were toppled on to power lines on the West Road by wind gusts estimated at up to 60 mph. The time is estimated. Hail up to a half inch in diameter also accompanied the storm.

Wider weather episode

A cold front and upper level disturbance crossed the region through the afternoon of the 23rd. Thunderstorms developed in advance of the front. Isolated storms reached severe levels producing large hail and damaging winds.
